The Environmental Law Practice Group at Gawthrop Greenwood provides environmental litigation and counseling services to a broad array of clients. One of our attorneys is a marine biologist and former federal environmental prosecutor, one is a land development expert, another handles complex toxic tort cases, while yet another assists with environmental due diligence for corporate transactions.

The Group handles matters involving contaminated land, brownfields redevelopment, water resources, air quality, indoor air quality, mold, agriculture, law enforcement, land development, toxic exposure, occupational health, mining, and waste disposal and recycling, among others. We have many years of successful legal, technical and law enforcement experience to bring to bear on the complex challenges faced by our clients. Members of the Group have served as court-appointed liaison counsel in complex multi-party Superfund cases, as lead counsel in major brownfields redevelopment projects, as defense counsel in numerous government enforcement actions, as lead counsel in major toxic mold cases, as special counsel to local governments, and as personal counsel to families involved in environmental disputes.
