Ann Duke combines a legal background with a business background when representing corporate clients. Ms. Duke joins the firm from Knapp McConomy Merlie, LLP, where she had an extensive corporate and estate planning practice. Ms. Duke's practice includes business transactions, corporate finance, business and strategic planning, corporate governance, banking, mergers and acquisitions, and succession and estate planning.
Ms. Duke has a varied entrepreneurial background as well which allows her to provide to the firm's clients business guidance as well as legal guidance. Ms. Duke has owned several businesses. Her most recent venture came as a founding member of a community bank. She acted first as the bank's General Counsel and then became a senior executive with the company, overseeing retail sales and marketing. Ms. Duke served on West Chester Borough Council, where she was Chair of the Finance & Budget Committee, which oversees the borough budget and spending.
She was elected Chester County Treasurer in 2009 for a four year term (2010 - 2014).
Ms. Duke is a graduate of Widener University School of Law and Georgetown University.
Ms. Duke adds depth to the firm's corporate practice and further expands the capability for individual estate planning and business succession planning. She works closely with financial planners and other advisors to achieve the wealth transfer and tax vehicles to meet the client's goals.
