Patrick O'Donnell Joins Gawthrop Greenwood

Patrick C. O'Donnell, Esq., one of the most respected and experienced attorneys in Chester County is now of counsel in the practice of law at Gawthrop Greenwood, PC.

Mr. O'Donnell concentrates his practice on municipal, land use and estate issues, and includes municipal clients, zoning hearing boards, developers, financiers and homeowners, as well as estates, families and elder clients.

He is a graduate of Kings College, Wilkes-Barre, PA and received his J.D. from Dickinson School of Law, Carlisle, PA (1975). Before law school, he was a field examiner for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.

Over more than three decades of practice, Mr. O'Donnell has tried hundreds of cases. He is well respected by the judges and lawyers of both Chester County and Pennsylvania, The Bar Association plebiscite deemed Mr. O'Donnell Qualified to be a judge. He frequently serves as an arbitrator for the Chester County Court of Common Pleas. While acting as solicitor to zoning hearing boards and municipalities, O'Donnell frequently fills a quasi-judicial role, advising the boards in matters both of procedure and policy.

Mr. O'Donnell was elected Chester County Commissioner in 1979 and served until January 1984. After the 2006 election of State Senator Andrew Dinniman, the Chester County Court appointed O'Donnell as County Commissioner for the term ending in January 2008.

He is actively engaged in the community having served on the boards of the Chester County Community Foundation, the Good Fellowship Ambulance Club, and as a volunteer for Planned Parenthood of Chester County, the Chester County Historical Society, West Chester Friends School, and Family Services of Chester County.
