A board-certified Civil Trial Advocate, Tunnell has been practicing trial law for thirty-three years. He joined Gawthrop Greenwood in 1985, and handles a variety of complex commercial and injury cases. He has won verdicts in excess of a million dollars, and frequently lectures on areas such as probate and estate topics. He also handles environmental litigation.
Tunnell is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Tax Court and many other federal and state courts. He was an editor of the Chester County Law Reporter for two decades, is a past President of the Chester County Bar Association, and is a past Chair of the Civil Litigation Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Admitted to the Bar in Pennsylvania in 1975, he was awarded his law degree by the College of William & Mary and received his undergraduate degree from Colgate University.
