"RISING STARS" SHINE AT WEST CHESTER LAW FIRM

West Chester, PA - March 9, 2009 - Stacey L. Fuller and Patrick M. McKenna of The West Chester law firm Gawthrop Greenwood have been named "Rising Stars" by the publishers of Law & Politics and Super Lawyers. This marks the second consecutive year the two have been recognized as top up-and-coming attorneys 40 years old or younger who have been practicing for 10 years or less. (www.superlawyers.com).

A member of the North Carolina and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, Stacey Fuller previously resided in North Carolina where she practiced education and special education law. Originally from Liverpool, New York, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of Connecticut where she graduated summa cum laude and was admitted into Phi Beta Kappa. She received her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She is a graduate of the Chester County Leadership Connection, a program that teaches executives to be effective non-profit board members, serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the West Chester Area YMCA, and is a member of the Greater West Chester Sunrise Rotary Club.

Born in Atlanta, Patrick McKenna grew up in West Chester from the age of six. He graduated from St. Joseph's University in 1997 with a B.A. in History, then earned his J.D. cum laude from Widener University School of Law in 2001. After working with the insurance defense firm of McKissock & Hoffman, P.C. in West Chester, McKenna joined Gawthrop Greenwood in 2004, where his practice focuses on municipal law, land use, real estate and business litigation. Also a graduate of the Chester County Leadership Connection, he serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors of Safe Harbor of Greater West Chester. He is a former Chair of the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the Chester County Bar Association and served on the CCBA's Board of Directors for three years.
