"My goal is to minimize the effect of increased demand for services and decreased funding that infects non-profits in a poor economy," says Huggins. "I hope to do so by increasing public awareness of the value added by UWCC in its unique ability to allocate and direct scarce resources where they will have the greatest impact on the community, and by maintaining focus on the outcomes of our member agencies to ensure that our donors are receiving the maximum return on their contributions."
"Over the years Roger has been a strategic decision maker, vocal advocate and dedicated supporter of the United Way mission," says Claudia Hellebush, UWCC President & CEO. "Demonstrating tremendous leadership while guiding the organization through its various stages of growth over the past nine years, he has served on numerous committees and knows the work from the view of fund raising, fund distribution and community development. We are all delighted that Roger will be leading the organization to the next level."
